Dear NGO Christians in Thailand
—–
We are a group of people protecting children, we are interested in changing the laws governing how NGOs operate in Thailand. We are calling on lawmakers and immigration to stop NGOs from working in Thailand, and we will be lobbying on this soon.
We know that most NGOs are taking advantage of impoverished Thai people (mostly children) so that they can live the dream in Thailand; many are just interested in making a good salary and converting poor Thai people to Christianity, but if they are genuinely helping Thai people, we can all turn a blind eye. However…
There are several bad actors like The Exodus Road, A21 and Operation Underground Railroad. They are making all NGOs look far worse; other Christian NGOs do nothing to stop these dishonest groups, they are cheering from the sidelines, or they keep quiet; both are equally as bad as the other. When we have asked other NGO’s about these dishonest groups bribing the police to get convictions, they say it’s a means to an end to end prostitution. BUT the donators think they are donating to anti-human trafficking groups, not groups that just want to close down the bars in Thailand.
We are calling upon good, honest Christian NGOs to stop working with these dishonest organisations, stop accepting their donations, and stop inviting them for collaborations. We are aware of all the backhanders and money laundering that goes on, but we will remain quiet for now and we will focus on the main 3 culprits that are losing face for Thai people.
It’s time that other NGOs stop applauding these organisations for using illegal tactics, sneaking around bars, having sex with girls using donation money, setting people up, bribing the police, and using raid and rescue lying tactics instead of fixing real human trafficking issues.
